BCC is a retailer of consumer electronics. The company has existed under its current name since 1969 and is one of the largest and most successful electronics retailers in the Netherlands. With over 1300 employees and 60 stores, they strive to provide the best service for the best price. To achieve this, they must have a well-running ERP system.
At BCC, Kaya re-implemented Dynamics AX 2012. The ERP system was previously implemented by another party, but this implementation was not satisfactory. Many issues arose: the warehouse was not in order, so if a customer ordered anything, they could not be sure that they would really receive what they ordered. Sometimes they received their order twice, they received another product, or they received nothing at all. Kaya solved these issues through a re-implementation. Nowadays, BCC is still using AX 2012 as we implemented it. Because the issues at BCC were so urgent, Kaya was able to put many employees to work at BCC so the issues would be solved quickly. We also made many integrations, e.g., with their various stores. We also performed warehouse optimization by looking at new methods to scan and move products around the warehouse. This also improved the supplying of the stores because products could easily be scanned instead of having to count them manually. Overall, this led to further optimization and increased security, which were two common themes in Kaya’s work at BCC.
